How to Add a New Bottle in WhiskeyMate

Track your collection with barcode scanning, manual entry, and photos.

What you need before saving

Every new bottle entry in WhiskeyMate should have a barcode or WhiskeyMate-generated ID, a target collection, and the core bottle details required by the current build.

Steps to add a bottle

1. Open the Add tab in the app.
2. Scan a barcode, type it manually, or generate a WhiskeyMate ID.
3. Select which collection the bottle belongs to.
4. Enter the required bottle details such as brand and subtitle.
5. Add front or back images if you want richer bottle documentation.
6. Save the entry to your collection.

Photos and Premium limits

• You can add bottle images from your camera or photo library.
• Current non-Premium builds can limit the number of unique bottles you can save.
• Some builds may allow extra capacity through storage credits or Premium features.

Troubleshooting tips

• If a barcode does not scan, try entering it manually or generate a WhiskeyMate ID.
• If saving fails, confirm that the barcode, collection, brand, and subtitle fields are all present.
• If image uploads are slow, check your network connection before retrying the save flow.
