How WhiskeyMate Stores Currency and Shows Totals in USD

What changed
Starting in iOS 1.34 (and Android 1.1.4), WhiskeyMate records the currency you used when you saved a bottle’s price on the entry itself, and consistently displays collection totals in USD for your account.
Why it matters
- No silent drift: your historical prices stay tied to the currency you actually paid in.
- Consistent stats: collection value, totals, and averages roll up to one currency you can compare.
- Travel-friendly: bottles you buy abroad keep their original currency on the entry.
Where you’ll see it
- Bottle Detail shows the original price + currency you entered.
- Collection Stats shows totals normalized to USD.
- Edit Bottle lets you confirm or change the currency for that entry.
FAQ
Can I change my display currency away from USD? Display currency is currently fixed to USD for stats. We may add per-user display currency in a future release.
