How to Use the WhiskeyMate Search

Find bottles in your collection or discover new ones in the WhiskeyMate database.

What search helps you do

WhiskeyMate search is designed for two main tasks: finding bottles you already own and exploring the broader WhiskeyMate catalog when you want to discover something new.

Search workflow

1. Open the Search screen in the app.
2. Type a bottle name, subtitle, or barcode, or scan a barcode directly.
3. Choose whether to search your own collections or the broader database.
4. Review matching results and tap into a bottle for details.

What you can do from results

• Add a discovered bottle to your wish list.
• Open bottle details, comments, ratings, or community content.
• Share bottle links or report incorrect content where supported.

Troubleshooting tips

• If a database search shows no results, try a broader keyword or partial brand name.
• If barcode scanning fails, manually enter the barcode or search by brand and subtitle.
• Database-wide search needs network access, while collection search is best for already-saved bottles.
