How to Share or Request Access to a WhiskeyMate Collection

Easily invite others to see your collection or ask to view theirs.

How collection sharing works

Collection sharing lets WhiskeyMate users invite other people to browse a collection. Access stays under the owner's control, so recipients can request access but the owner decides whether to approve, reject, or revoke it.

Share a collection as the owner

1. Open the collection you want to share from your Collections view.
2. Use the collection sharing action to generate a universal link.
3. Send the link through Messages, email, or your preferred share sheet.
4. Review incoming requests and approve or reject them from the collection sharing controls.

Request access as a recipient

1. Open the shared collection link.
2. Sign in to WhiskeyMate if prompted.
3. Wait for the owner to approve your request.
4. Once accepted, the shared collection appears in your Shared Collections experience.

Owner controls and privacy

• Owners can accept, reject, or revoke a share request.
• Owners can optionally control whether price and value data are visible to a shared user.
• Removing a shared collection does not permanently prevent future access requests.

Troubleshooting tips

• Make sure your display name is set so collection owners can recognize your request.
• If a shared collection disappears, reopening the link can recreate the request flow.
• If you are not seeing a collection after approval, refresh the Shared Collections view and confirm you are signed in with the correct account.
