Common symptoms

- Pairing code never updates after you approve it.
- Apple TV shows a secure connection error.
Quick fixes
- Confirm Premium: Apple TV is a Premium-only feature. Verify your Premium subscription is active on your account.
- Check Wi‑Fi: Ensure Apple TV has a stable network connection. If possible, restart your router or switch networks to rule out captive portals or DNS issues.
- Retry pairing: Return to the pairing screen and generate a new code, then approve it again at whiskeymate.net/tv/pair.
- Update your build: If you’re on TestFlight, install the latest available build. If you’re on App Store, ensure you’re on the newest version.
- Reinstall as a last resort: Delete WhiskeyMate from Apple TV and reinstall to clear stale state.
If you’re testing via TestFlight
- Ensure your Apple TV is signed in with the same App Store account used to accept the TestFlight invite.
- Install TestFlight on Apple TV and update to the latest build if a new one is available.
