Why Update Notifications Were Missing (and How They’re Fixed in 1.1.8)

Push delivery for app updates has been restored

What happened

Some Android users stopped seeing push notifications for new app updates in late 2025. The root cause was a delivery-side issue in WhiskeyMate’s push handling that has been corrected in 1.1.8.

What you need to do

1. Update WhiskeyMate to 1.1.8 or later from the Google Play Store.
2. If you previously turned off notification topics in Profile, re-enable App Updates.
3. Going forward, you’ll receive a push when a new version is available without having to manually check the Play Store.

Where to control these notifications

• Open Profile.
• Tap Notification Preferences.
• Toggle Receive Update Notifications on or off.
