Exploring Advanced Whiskey Stats in the Detailed Stats View
Dig deeper into bottle comparisons, trends, and more
Overview
The Detailed Stats View in WhiskeyMate offers a richer look at your whiskey’s data, comparing it against broader community numbers and showing historical price trends. Whether you’re on iOS or Android, it provides charts and comparisons to help you see how your bottle stacks up over time and against other collectors’ data.
Key Features
- Whiskey Title & Image: At the top, you’ll see the bottle’s photo and name. This helps you confirm you’re viewing the right whiskey if you have many in your library.
-
Comparison Rows: A table (or row set) shows:
- Your Bottle: The ABV, price, or proof from your own entry.
- Community: A typical range or average based on other users who have the same whiskey.
-
Price Trend Chart:
- Line Graph: Illustrates how the bottle’s community-reported prices have changed over the last year (or other periods). A dashed line often indicates a trend line if the data isn’t flat.
- Your Price vs. Average: Colored horizontal markers can show where your cost sits compared to the ongoing community trend or average price.
- Limited Data? If not enough users reported data, you might see smaller charts or placeholders stating the data is incomplete.
- Additional Insights: Depending on how many people have recorded info, you may see extras like average ABV, typical fill levels, or even advanced graphs for older vintages.
Tips & Troubleshooting
- No Trend Lines? If all the reported data is the same (or lacking), you might see a flat or missing line. Encourage other users to add their prices to improve these stats!
- Updating Your Stats: If you recently changed the price or ABV in the standard Whiskey Detail, come back here to see your updated comparison.
- Hover & Tap (where supported): On some devices, you can tap data points to see exact historical values or monthly breakdowns.
- Regional Variations: Prices in certain areas may differ widely. Use the chart as a guideline, but note that location-based differences can be big.
