How to Capture a Menu with Fitz

What is Menu Capture?

Menu Capture is a Premium action that photographs a printed bar menu or bottle labels, lets Fitz draft bottles and pour prices, and adds only what you approve. Use it to seed a venue collection or to contribute a community Place Menu.

How to capture a venue menu

  1. Open the collection that will become your pour list.
  2. Turn on Share publicly and Bar / Restaurant mode (Sharing).
  3. Tap Capture menu and photograph the printed board or labels. Take a few clear shots if the list is long.
  4. Review Fitz’s suggestions — bottles, pour prices, and sections. Keep, edit, or discard each row.
  5. Tap Update public menu so the guest link, QR, and App Clip match what you approved.

How to contribute a Place Menu

From Nearby Stores or Place Menus, choose a venue and contribute a community pour list. Capture uses the same photo → review path. Community lists do not add bottles to your personal collection and are not the venue’s Official menu until the bar claims the place.
