How to Log a Tasting in WhiskeyMate
Known pour or Blind — score nose, taste, finish, and body, then attach the tasting to a bottle
What is a tasting?
A tasting is a saved session with ratings and notes. You can log a known pour (you know the bottle) or a Blind tasting (reveal later). Tastings sync across iOS, Android, and the web companion.
On iPhone, iPad, or Android
- Open Tastings from Explore or Home.
- Start a new tasting and search your bottles or the community catalog.
- Choose Known pour or Blind.
- Score nose, taste, finish, and body, then add flavor notes.
- Save. You can attach the tasting to a bottle in your collection.
On the web
Sign in at whiskeymate.net/tastings.html. Search Community or My Bottles, pick a bottle, choose mode, and save. The same records appear in the apps.
Tips
- Blind mode hides the label until you choose to reveal it.
- You can start from a bottle you already own or from a catalog search.
- Tastings are yours — they are not a public review board.
