WhiskeyMate 1.40 Release Notes (iOS 1.40 / Android 1.2.7)
Public menus, Menu Capture, Place Menus, Tastings, Infinity Bottles, Local Connect, tvOS 1.4.1, and the August web companion
iOS 1.40 & Android 1.2.7
- Public restaurant menus (Premium): turn a collection into a guest pour list with prices, sections, and a QR.
- Menu Capture (Premium): photograph a printed menu and review Fitz’s suggestions before adding pours.
- App Clip (iOS): guests can open your public menu from a QR without installing the full app. Android guests use the public web link.
- Place Menus: discover what’s pouring at real venues, contribute a community list, or claim your bar’s Official menu.
- Tastings: log known-bottle or Blind tastings with ratings and notes.
- Infinity Bottles: blend leftover pours into a named house mix with rolling volume and estimated ABV.
- Local Connect: opt in by city and share Instagram, website, or phone — WhiskeyMate is not a marketplace.
- Polish: smoother public-menu deep links and sync resilience. Android 1.2.6 (46) shipped layout and Place Menu dialog fixes immediately before 1.2.7 (47).
tvOS 1.4.1
Apple TV stays a Premium living-room companion (browse collections, Fitz, pairing). Create menus, tastings, Infinity Bottles, and Local Connect listings on iOS, Android, or the web. Marketing version 1.4.1 shares build 610 with iOS 1.40.
Web companion (August 2026)
Guest public collection and Place Menu pages, plus signed-in Tastings and Infinity Bottles at whiskeymate.net. Menu Capture and Local Connect discovery remain in the mobile apps.
Still later
Age Assurance, a performance audit, and internationalization remain on the roadmap.
