What is Local Connect?
Local Connect lets you opt in so nearby collectors and venues can find your public shelf by city, then reach you through Instagram, a website, or a phone number you choose to publish.
WhiskeyMate is not a marketplace
We do not broker, escrow, or process purchases, sales, trades, or meetups. Listings and contact details are provided by you. Anything you arrange off the app — including buying, selling, trading, or tasting together — is solely between those people and must follow applicable law (including age and alcohol laws).
How to appear
- Publish a public collection menu (Share publicly). Premium is required to appear in Local Connect.
- Turn on Local Connect for that collection and pick the city/region you want to show.
- Add only the contact channels you are willing to share.
- Turn it off anytime to leave discovery.
How to find others
Search Local Connect by city in the app. Open a listing to see the public shelf teaser and the owner’s published contacts. Report abusive or misleading profiles with in-app Report controls.
Safety
- Do not share more contact information than you need.
- Do not use Local Connect to solicit illegal alcohol sales or to spam published contacts.
