Shared Collections View: Browsing & Interacting with Shared Collections

<h2>Overview</h2> <p><strong>Shared Collections</strong> lets you browse collections that other WhiskeyMate users share with you. Access is controlled by the collection owner, so you may see a collection while access is <em>pending</em>, or you may only see it after the owner has accepted your request (depending on platform and how you arrived there).</p> <h2>Access states you may see</h2> <ul> <li><strong>Requested</strong>: access has been requested and is waiting on the owner.</li> <li><strong>Accepted</strong>: access is granted and you can browse the collection’s bottles.</li> <li><strong>Rejected</strong>: the owner denied access.</li> <li><strong>Revoked</strong>: the owner removed access after it was previously granted.</li> <li><strong>Deleted</strong>: you removed the shared collection from your own list (you can request again later by opening the link again).</li> </ul> <h2>iOS: browsing shared collections</h2> <ul> <li><strong>Paging between shared collections</strong>: if you have multiple shared collections, you can swipe between them and use previous/next navigation.</li> <li><strong>If access is accepted</strong>: you can see the shared collection’s cover image(s), browse bottles in a grid, open bottle details, and (from the bottle context menu) actions like comment/report/rate may be available.</li> <li><strong>If access is not accepted yet</strong>: iOS shows a status panel (for example: Requested / Rejected / Revoked) and you won’t see the full bottle list until access is accepted.</li> <li><strong>Wish List preview (if the shared collection has one)</strong>: if the shared collection includes a wish list, iOS can show a horizontal “Wish List” section.</li> <li><strong>Remove a shared collection</strong>: iOS includes a <strong>Remove Collection</strong> button (not shown for the built-in default shared collections). This sets your share status to <code>deleted</code> for that collection.</li> </ul> <h2>Android: shared collections</h2> <ul> <li><strong>Where it lives</strong>: the bottom-nav <strong>Share</strong> tab opens the shared collections experience.</li> <li><strong>Requesting access</strong>: the shared collections view includes a <strong>Request Collection Access</strong> row that shares a request link (so you can send it to a mate/owner).</li> <li><strong>Deep link behavior</strong>: when you open a shared collection link, Android loads that shared collection and automatically requests access if your share is not already <code>accepted</code>.</li> <li><strong>Owner approvals</strong>: if you’re the owner and there are pending share requests on your collections, Android can show an alert dialog to approve or reject them.</li> </ul> <h2>Price/value visibility depends on owner settings</h2> <p>Owners can choose whether to share price/value data on a per-share basis. On iOS, shared collection value totals are only shown when <code>sharePriceData</code> is enabled for your share.</p> <h2>Default shared collections (first-time experience)</h2> <p>If you don’t have any real shared collections yet, WhiskeyMate may show a pair of <em>default</em> shared collections as placeholders so you can preview how shared collections work.</p> <h2>Troubleshooting</h2> <ul> <li><strong>Shared collection not appearing</strong>: confirm you’re signed in to the correct account and that the owner accepted your request.</li> <li><strong>Name required</strong>: some flows require you to set a profile name before requesting/accessing shared collections.</li> </ul>
