How to Create a New Collection in WhiskeyMate (iOS & Android)

Why create a collection?

Collections are how WhiskeyMate organizes bottles. Every bottle you add is associated with a collection.

Open the create screen:
- iOS: In Collections, use the New Collection action (or tap the Create Collection placeholder collection, if shown).
- Android: Open the app menu and tap New Collection.
Enter a title: Give your collection a name. The title can’t be empty. (On Android, the title also can’t be newCollection.)
Add a description (optional): Add details about the theme or purpose of the collection.
Add photos (optional):
- iOS: You can add a collection photo using the photo library or camera (camera access depends on device permission).
- Android: You can Pick Image (system picker) or Take Photo (camera permission required).
Premium note: Adding more than one collection image is a Premium feature on current builds.
Create/save: Tap Create Collection (Android) or save/create in the iOS flow.

Multiple collections: On current builds, free users are limited to one collection. Premium allows more.

Image orientation: Collection images display best when they’re landscape. Android also warns that portrait images aren’t ideal for collections.
Connectivity: Creating a collection may require network connectivity (especially when uploading images and saving to the cloud). If you’re offline, saving can fail.
Drafts (Android): If you leave mid-creation, Android can save a draft. When you return, you may be prompted to Load Draft or Discard Draft.
