WhiskeyMate’s Image Upload and Processing feature allows you to capture and display beautiful photos for each bottle in your collection. By adding high-quality images, you make it easier to identify bottles at a glance, share them with friends, and appreciate the look and feel of every label—especially for rare or visually striking designs.

- View & Zoom: Tap any bottle photo to view it in full screen, zoom in to inspect subtle label details, or swipe through multiple images if you’ve added more than one.

- iOS: Implemented as of version 1.0 (released March 1, 2023).
- Android: In development, version 1.0 slated for March 1, 2025.
- Web: In development, version 1.0 targeted for September 1, 2025.
How to Add Bottle Images
- Open Bottle Detail: From your collection, tap on any bottle to view or edit its information.
- Tap the Camera or Gallery Icon: Choose to take a new photo or select an existing image from your device library (permissions required).
- Confirm & Upload: Once selected or captured, confirm the photo. WhiskeyMate automatically processes and attaches it to the bottle’s record.
- Optional Additions: If your plan allows multiple images, upload shots of the front, back, and any unique packaging or details you want to showcase.
Tips & Best Practices
- Use Good Lighting: Clear, well-lit photos highlight label text and bottle coloring for easy identification.
- Keep File Sizes Reasonable: While WhiskeyMate handles compression, extremely large images may slow uploads on slow networks.
- Show Distinct Angles: Consider capturing brand logos, tax stamps, or batch numbers that might be on the back or side of the bottle.
- Link to Shared Collections: Photos make shared collections more engaging, helping recipients see the exact bottles you’re referencing.
